Need Administrative Professionals Day Info or Gift Ideas? Look no further...
Administrative Professionals Day (also executive assistants day, formerly secretaries day) is most often celebrated on a Wednesday during the last full week of April every year. Administrative Professionals Day was first observed in 1952 thanks to the International Association of Administrative Professionals (which used to be called National Secretaries Association) and a group of office product manufacturers working with them at that time. The idea for a secretaries day or week was their campaign to find a solution to a skilled office worker shortage. And today it's right at the top of the list of things to celebrate at work, ranking right up there with employee birthdays and major holidays. As with many professions in today's workforce the name has changed to better reflect how diverse the position of an Administrative Assistant or office professional can be.

Maybe a nice card or a small bouquet of flowers will do for the others? Then you can put the most thought into the gift you give for Administrative Professionals Day or Executive Assistants day. Rule of thumb, if your employee has been with you or the company less than 5 years a $25-$50 gift is appropriate. If the employee has been working with you longer than 5 years you may need to spend a bit more for a nicer more appropriate gift to acknowledge their level of expertise. But, be sure to check company policies about gift giving to make sure there are no rules against it or if these is a dollar limit.
