General Administrative Assistant Job Description:
Perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, or providing information to callers. Provide administrative support to a department and/or Manager. Project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction.

Medical Administrative Assistant:
The same as the general description in addition to...Responsible for knowing facility and patient safety policies and assisting to ensure they are followed.Check medical equipment and inventory as well as process purchasing requests as needed. Maintain and update confidential patient records. Respond to employee and patient inquiries and complaints. Keep a record of appointments and generate reports for the manager.

Corporate or Executive Assistant:
Provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings. May also train and supervise lower-level clerical staff.

Legal Secretary or Administrative Assistant in a Law Firm:
Assist lawyers and clients with factual or legal research at all levels of a case. Organize meetings, appointments and dates for attorneys. Organize office affairs, including organizing dates for hearings, printing and organizing motions for attorneys and filing motions with another attorney or with the court. Also do more routine office work such as filing, faxing and answering the phone.
