About Me!

To my Visitors that want to know more about me,

My name is Tamara and I am the creator of Administrative-Assistant.net! I work for a large health system (a group of many hospitals and patient offices working together as one company) in Ohio as a Medical Administrative Assistant (my title here is actually Administrative Coordinator). I have been working here for seven years and have learned so much during this time that I would like to be able to share with others.

When I first got started as an Administrative Assistant I had no clue what I was getting myself into. I had experience in retail customer service jobs as well as some secretarial experience. But, I had no idea how different being someone's personal assistant or being an assistant to a specific department in a huge organization would be. In the beginning I floundered quite a bit not knowing where to go for what information. And even though I have a number of years of experience under my belt there are always opportunities for me to learn more. Which eventually brought me to start creating this website!

My goal for this site is to offer as much information and as many resources as I can for Administrative Professionals, whether you are working in a corporate office, a hospital, or even from home as a virtual assistant. Administrative-Assistant.net will often be offering new things as I will add information as I learn more myself and realize the needs of those just starting off in this career or wanting to learn more.
